Module 1:
Learn the research behind incorporating neural and cognitive aspects into hearing healthcare so that you are able to expand your clinical expertise for clinical use.
Module 2:
Learn a new diagnostic protocol (functional hearing assessment) that goes beyond traditional audiometry and peripheral hearing. Meet Heidi Hill, Au.D., CogniHear creator, and your new guide to making real change clinically. I believe what makes CogniHear truly unique is that it was created by someone just like you, a clinical audiologist. I have a small practice in Minnesota. My practice location is not in an affluent area. I have no physicians referring to me, and loads of competition including 3 Costcos within a stone’s throw! Marketing was not effective and I was tired of being perceived as a hearing aid dispenser when I know so much more! I absolutely hate not being able to help a patient, so I am constantly striving to improve my clinical expertise. Research created a passion to implement a more holistic approach to hearing healthcare, but there was no clear way to make what I was reading in research clinically applicable in a private practice. Since I’m too impatient to wait for someone else to figure things out, I just started to work at it myself within my clinic. This process took a number of years, grit and many mistakes! It shouldn’t be that hard to implement changes in the clinic, so with the help of my colleagues at Entheos we developed CogniHear.

I’ve already been to classes and I never seem to get them implemented
That is often my frustration as well with taking classes. It’s difficult to implement despite my best intentions. First of all, after taking this class I have no doubt that you will have the motivation needed for change! Second, there are so many tools within the program to try and clear the path for you. And last, I KNOW that you can do it, because I did!Is there a shorter program available. I don’t think I want to do the whole thing.
The key to implementing a clinical shift is to have a firm understanding of why and the research behind it. That is why we start with the science and research. This program is not about giving you steps and a bunch of scripts. The focus is to update YOUR clinical expertise, because no 2 patients are the same. There is no cookbook for treating patients. If there were, we would not be necessary!There are NO shortcuts to real change “There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs”-the plaque hanging on my wall!
